Language and culture

Geography and geographical location of Meherpur Sadar Upazila has played a role in shaping the language and culture of the people of this upazila. Located in the south-western part of Bangladesh, this upazila has the same language features as other upazilas of Bangladesh, yet some variation can be found. For example, there is a tendency to simplify the language, which is largely absent in the spoken language. However, ruins of a few blue houses of the English period and a pattern called DB of Dumdum Pir have been found. However, some details are not known. The Rajbangshi and Munda minorities live in this area but they do not have their own language and culture. Abdul Quddus Bayati Samadhik is a well-known name.
